In 1995, Andy Tinker walked into Pokey's & Sports on Calderwood Street to buy his son a letter jacket and ended up buying the store. Since then, Pokey's moved from the 800 square foot location in Alcoa to Broadway Avenue in Maryville. The Tinker family has happily been part of Blount County's local retail scene. They have enjoyed witnessing the community's growth the last two decades and look forward to the years to come.
